If I had to use just a single word to describe how Andy is with me, it would have to be patient. (There are a lot of things I could pick for the one word, but patience is something that has been present in him from the beginning and that still plays a much appreciated role in the functioning of our relationship.)

Andy took this picture when we were at Rising Park in Lancaster a few weeks ago. I loved this day. :) He brings the happiness out in me.
My (freaking) Epic.
My Epic is doing this thing where people can ask them questions via video and they will respond with a video. It’s a mutual getting to know each other thing. Pretty neat, right? Well seeing as how they are my favorite band, I’ve watched all the videos and I still had a question looming, so I asked it!
It was about who would be included in the lineup of their dream tour and why. I didn’t limit it— it was open to any artists past or present.
And guys, they responded.
They respond to everyone, but dang am I excited. My favorite band liked my question and they talked to meeeeeeeeeeeee!

i pillaged some booty today. and by that i mean i bought some neat books.
YES, summer means lots of reading, but i nerded pretty hard today… i should not be allowed to go to library book sales EVER. (i might go back tomorrow to see their rotated stock.) haha my precious loot from the day:
- The Strong-Willed Child- Dr. James Dobson (i’m always trollin’ for reference books for when i’m a counselor… i also have a terrifying niece.)
- Brave New World- Aldous Huxley (my favorite book! i lent my copy out and never got it back, but that’s alright! i got a new one!!)
- The War of the Worlds- H.G. Wells (i have actually never read this!)
- The Stories of Ray Bradbury (100 short stories, including those from The Martian Chronicles— the work that got me into science fiction in the first place. i also just ordered a copy of The Martian Chronicles online a few days ago. awesome.)
- Science Fiction of the 30’s- Edited by Damon Knight (18 of the BEST sci-fi short stories from the 1930s)
- Science Fiction of the 50’s- Eds. Martin Harry Greenberg & Joseph Olander (22 of the BEST sci-fi short stories of the 1950s)
